Agitated Thin Film Dryer (ATFD) is used for continuous concentration & drying of viscous and highly heat sensitive liquids, slurries and paste type products into dry powder operated under vacuum for total solvent recovery.

An Agitated Thin Film Dryer (ATFD) is type of dryer which operates on thermal evaporation principle with high speed rotor with blades inside. This method ensures highly efficient heat transfer and rapid evaporation.

Agitated Thin Film Dryer (ATFD) operates on Continuous processing of process fluid thin film to low moisture or dry solids by using intense agitation with effective heat transfer. The heating surface is renewed by continuous scrapping of dry solids at high RPM for efficient heat transfer. These process fluids are converted to free flowing solids by continuous single pass operation. Hinged rotor blades are used to create High turbulence. Distributor attached to rotor can equally distributes process fluid to form indistinguishable thin film on heated wall to achieve highly effective heat transfer rate. Perfect designed clearance between heated wall surface and hinged rotor blades prevents fouling and allows easily escapes of vapor and dried powder. Our dryer has self-cleaning heating surface such that the moving parts undergo minimum maintenance in the long run. Ability to operate at low temperature is particularly beneficial for ability to maintain stability & efficacy of dried product.
